Using creativity as a methodological tool will help us to pursue the issues that disabled researchers prioritise as most important to them. This means that insights generated about the research will not be solely framed by our questions as researchers, and that participant’s voices and experiences will be central.
These creative methods include drawing, collages, photography and games to communicate about lived experiences.
By using creative methods that centre on alternative, innovative skills and evoke emotion, we hope to create a more equal research space that allows for important and interesting reflection on issues of equity and inclusion in the workplace.
